Booking Policies
There is a maximum occupancy of four overnight guests in each of our suites. Rates are quoted per night excluding tax (13.25%).
Prices may vary from outdated rates on other websites, and only rates as published on the hotel’s website are guaranteed. Only one discount or promotion can be applied at a time.
A 100% deposit will be charged to your credit card at the time of making your reservation. The balance will be charged to your card on the day of your booking reservation.
All reservations must be guaranteed with a credit card regardless of how the final payment will be made. We accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express credit cards and Gift Certificates. We do not accept out-of-town personal checks.
Check-In is between 3:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Arrangements for late arrivals should be made in advance with the hotel staff. Please, no calls or late arrivals after 9 PM. Out of respect and courtesy of other hotel guests, no calls or late arrivals after 9 PM.
Early arrivals are discouraged since our staff is busy turning the suites over from the previous night to ensure everything is ready for your check-in at 3 PM. A $50 fee will be assessed on the final bill for urgency and extra housekeeping preparations related to unexpected arrivals.
Check-out time is at 11 AM.
All reservations are non-cancelable and non-refundable. The full amount plus applicable tax is due at the time of booking. ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
Making a reservation at a small boutique hotel with only eight suites is not the same as making a reservation at a typical, large hotel. Due to our small size, cancellations affect us significantly.
A last-minute cancellation gives us little chance of re-booking a suite. For this reason, we uphold a very strict no-cancellation policy.
Guests are responsible for payment of all nights reserved regardless of their actual arrival or departure date.
No-shows are responsible for the full payment of their entire reservation.
Any and all rescheduled reservations will require the full financial payment by the guest, and the deposit is not transferrable to another stay. There are no exceptions to this policy including sickness, family emergencies, or weather-related issues.
Individual guests within a group/full hotel booking are subject to the terms defined for a full hotel rental. If the number of suites drops below six from a rental that originates as a full hotel rental, the group’s reservation is still subject to the terms of a whole house booking.
The Kentucky Grand Hotel is privately owned and operated. Management reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for reasons that are lawful. We will not be responsible for guest accidents or injury, or for the loss of money, jewelry, or valuables of any kind.
Any damages, stolen items, or broken items occurring during the stay will be the full financial responsibility of the guest, including anyone traveling with the guest. Any special clean-up resulting in damages caused by the guests will be charged to the credit card. Charges may need to be applied after guest departure as deemed necessary by management. Robe replacement cost is $125, sheets $100, and towel replacement cost is $25.
Please report all spills and damages to the front desk promptly.
To ensure the safety and comfort of all of our guests, we do not allow smoking, fireworks, or incense/candle burning in any of our guest suites. Hotel guests smoking anywhere in the building will be charged a minimum $250 fee to return the facility to a non-smoking status.
We cater to the comfort, privacy, and security of our registered guests. Guest visitors are only permitted on the property with prior hotel approval.
The Kentucky Grand Hotel is regarded as either a business executive destination or a quiet escape and romantic getaway for most of our guests, and we work hard to foster that environment. Persons not staying overnight at the hotel are not permitted in the hotel suites after 10 PM.
We are not a pet-friendly establishment. Service animals are permitted, however, and owners of such are to give the hotel a 24-hour advance notice before their scheduled check-in date in order for the hotel to make appropriate accommodations. When traveling with a service animal, according to the ADA, the hotel staff has the right to ask the following questions:
1.) Is your dog a service dog?
2.) What task does your service dog provide?
Upon any disturbances, animal mess, or damages to the property caused by the service animal, The Kentucky Grand Hotel has the right to charge a minimum fine of $250 or more according to the damages caused. In addition, the hotel staff will not and is also by law, not required to help perform any tasks with such animals. This includes taking the animal to relieve itself, taking the animal for walks, feeding, handling and etc. The service dog must be under the control of such owner at ALL TIMES, whether this is by a leash, hand gestures, or voice control, the animal cannot be unruly and if is, the guest and the service dog will be asked to leave with no refund for their stay. If an incident occurs where the service animal is acting unruly or causes harm/injury to another guest within the building, The Kentucky Grand Hotel is not reliable for any injury or damages. THE OWNER OF SUCH AN ANIMAL WILL BE 100% RELIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTS OR INJURIES CAUSED.
The ADA amendment states that ONLY DOGS ARE ALLOWED TO BE CONSIDERED SERVICE ANIMALS. NO OTHER ANIMAL SPECIES ARE ALLOWED WITHIN THE BUILDING.
If you are booking a stay for your wedding night, please be advised that our guest suites, common areas, and grounds are for our registered guests only. Booking a reservation for a stay does not entitle a bride or groom’s (or any booking guest) family and friends to use any guest suite or any part of the hotel or grounds for bridal party wedding preparations and photographs without Management approval and will incur the appropriate fees. Bridal parties leasing the space at the hotel will not be charged a fee for limited photography, but the time and location must first be approved by Management.
We commonly receive requests from non-guests to use the hotel for photography shoots. We do not allow outside photographers to take photographs inside the building without prior permission from Management. A $100/hour fee for the use of the hotel will be charged and payable at the end of the session. To ensure privacy, photographs of any of our guests are not permitted without their prior written permission.
